Ghana’s Bernard Tekpetey scores again for SC Paderborn in DFB Pokal

Ghana and SC Paderborn striker Bernard Tekpetey bagged his ninth goal of the season on Tuesday in the German DFB Pokal. 

SC Paderborn 07 qualified to the next round of the competition with a 3-1 win over MSV Duisburg 3-1 in an entertaining game.

Tekptey scored the equalizer in the 52nd minute for the Blue and Black lads after Cauly had netted the opener for the home side.

Goals from Kai Proger and his compatriot Christopher Antwi Adjei on the 61st and 76th-minute respectively completed a remarkable comeback to secure the victory.

The 21-year-old was replaced by Christopher Antwi Adjei on the 64th-minute of the game.

The highly-rated goal poacher has made 22 appearances and scored nine goals with five assists for SC Paderborn 07 so far this season.

He joined SC Paderborn from Bundesliga side Schalke 04 on a three-year deal which will run out on June 30, 2021.

Bernard was called up to the Ghana national football team for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. He made his debut for Ghana in a 1-0 loss to Egypt national football team on 25 January 2017.
