The 2019 UMEA Muslim Solidarity Games have received a major
financial boost days to kick off on Good Friday.
The games that bring together muslim funded schools received
financial support UGX 6.8 M (Six Million Eight Hundred and forty Thousand
shillings) from Tropical Bank Uganda Limited, a key partner for the previous

secretary) and Ayub Khalifa (publicity secretary).
Dr. Sulaiman Lujja, the Manager Islamic banking at Tropical
bank was joined by Johnson Galabuzi (head of retail banking), Solomon Rachkara
(Sales and Marketing) and other bank officials graced the brief handover.

A number of trophies, medals and certificates will be given
to the exceling teams and individuals.
The sporting disciplines that will be competed in are
football (girls and boys), volleyball (girls and boys), handball (girls and
boys), netball (girls), Table Tennis, and Badminton (Boys and Girls).
This year’s Games will be hosted by Kasawo Islamic Secondary
School starting on Good Friday, 19th April through to Easter Monday 22nd April 2019.
The reporting day for all schools is Thursday, 18th April 2019 before the games off the next day.
Last year, Nkoma S.S in Mbale successfully hosted the games
whose overall winner was Kibuli S.S.
