Standard High School Zana completes Wakiso trio to the Copa 2019 semi-finals #Uganda

Copa Coca Cola Football Championship (Quarter-finals):

  • 1st Quarter final: Buddo 2-0 Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA)
  • 2nd Quarter final: St Henry’s Kitovu 0-2 St Mary’s SS Kitende (SMASK)
  • 3rd Quarter final: Standard High School – Zana 1-0 Royal Giants
  • 4th Quarter final: JJinja SS 0 (3)-0 (1) Bulo Parents

Standard High School – Zana piped Mityana based Royal Giants 1-0 during the third quarter final at the 2019 Copa Coca Cola football championship in Jinja on Thursday.

Aaroon Okwii’s 75th header
was the all-important goal for Standard High School before a fully packed
gallery at Kakindu Stadium.

This victory means that Wakiso region
has three schools at the semi-finals of the annual championship.

The other two are Buddo SS and St
Mary’s SS Kitende.

Earlier, Buddo SS had ejected Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) 2-0 with Emmanuel Loki scoring both goals in the first quarter final contest.

The second quarter final witnessed St Mary’s SS Kitende win 2-0 as well over Masaka region’s St Henry’s Kitovu.

Charles ‘Neymar’ Lwanga, a striker
with Sports Club Villa tapped home the opener and Richard Basangwa headed the
second goal.

The final quarter final between Jinja S.S and Bulo Parents was goal-less after normal time.

Jinja SS progressed 3-1 in post match penalties much to the excitement of the huge crowd.

The semi-final draws will be held on
Thursday evening at Jinja College School.

The last four stage will happen on Friday, 17th May 2019 before the final showdown on the subsequent day.
