Key Facts

  • Strasbourg have won five of their last six games in all competitions
  • Lyon have won seven of their last eight matches

Match Overview

Lyon have been playing like a team possessed in the past month, racking up win after win as they edge ever closer to a potential Champions League slot for next season. They have scored at least two goals per game in the buildup to this encounter and are now just two points off the top three. Strasbourg have been no pushovers either and sit just two points behind Lyon, although they are currently outside the European qualification places.

Nuamah Returns After Good International Break

Ernest Nuamah carried his good form from club level into the international window, where he scored for Ghana in their 5-0 win over Chad in the World Cup qualifiers.

Although the winger did not start in the 3-0 win against Madagascar, he made a good account of himself and will be happy with his performances. He now turns his attention back to club duties as Lyon continue their push for a Champions League berth.

The Odds

  • Strasbourg to Win – 2.81 (1xBet)
  • Lyon to Win – 2.53 (1xBet)
  • Draw – 3.79 (1xBet)

Prediction

This will likely be a close contest, but Lyon have been playing like an unstoppable force and are expected to narrowly edge this one.

Scoreline Prediction: Strasbourg 1-2 Lyon
